Reiki

Reiki consists of two Japanese words: "Rei" which means "wisdom of God" or "higher power" and "Ki" meaning "vital force and energy". Reiki therefore means "spiritually guided vital force and energy".

Reiki is a Japanese technique of energetic care by which the therapist channels and transmits energy to the patient by imposition of the hands to activate the natural process of healing. Its effects are many: in addition to reducing stress, it promotes relaxation and provides peace, joy and serenity. It also stimulates the body's self-regulating and self-healing processes. This Japanese word means "the strength of the spirit".
